If you’re looking for a charming and relaxed place to see Christmas lights in Houston, Woodland Heights is a beautiful neighborhood to add to your holiday list. Known for its tree-lined streets and historic homes, this area transforms into a cozy Christmas wonderland during the holiday season.

We recently took an evening driving tour through Woodland Heights Christmas lights, and it was the perfect way to soak in festive vibes without battling crowds or getting out of the car — especially great for families with younger kids.

Woodland Heights is located just north of downtown Houston, in the Heights. It’s a residential neighborhood with sidewalks, mature trees, and a laid-back atmosphere that makes it ideal for an easy Christmas light drive — or even a walk.

📍 Location: Woodland Heights, Houston, Texas

We started our drive on Bayland Drive, then slowly moseyed along the surrounding streets by car to enjoy all of the Christmas decor. Byrne Street really stood out as a street full of holiday spirit, and we also loved spotting a cute green space along Norhill Blvd that was surrounded by fun dinosaur-themed lights.
