One thing we've learned while traveling as a family of five is that finding a hotel room isn't always as easy as you'd think. Many resorts and hotels have a maximum occupancy of four guests, which can mean booking a second room or paying for a much more expensive suite.

Over the years, we've found some great family-friendly resorts across the U.S. with rooms that accommodate a family of five. Here are five resorts where we've personally stayed as a family of 2 adults and 3 children in a single room. If you've ever wondered whether your family of five can book just one room at a resort, we hope this list makes planning your next trip a little easier.
