If you're planning a fun-filled family trip in Texas, Kalahari Resort in Round Rock should be on your radar! As “America's Largest Indoor Waterpark Resort”, it offers something for everyone — from water slides to wave pools, arcade games, and delicious food options.
On our visit, we stayed overnight and explored everything from our cozy Double Queen Sofa Room to the massive indoor and outdoor waterparks. Our kids had a blast splashing through the slides and lazy rivers, and we loved the convenience of having so much to do right on-site!
Room Tour & Resort Walkthrough
We stayed in the Double Queen Sofa Room, which had plenty of space for our family of five. The room was clean, comfortable, and featured fun safari-themed touches that added to the overall resort vibe. It included two queen beds and a sofa that pulled out into an additional bed—perfect for sleeping up to 6 guests.
The resort itself is huge—it felt a bit like walking through a mall, with tons of fun attractions beyond just the water parks. Even with all the family-friendly excitement, Kalahari still delivers a luxurious experience, with amenities like a spa and 21+ areas for adults.
🌊 Water park Fun — Indoors & Out!
The indoor waterpark is massive—featuring slides, a wave pool, lazy river, splash zones, a toddler-friendly area, and more. We had such a great time exploring all the attractions!
The outdoor area was just as fun—we all loved soaking up the sun in the outdoor lazy river, and the kids had a blast on the slides at Bugs Burrow.
🍔 Eats Around the Resort
For dinner, we enjoyed MACS (Macaroni and Cheese Shop), which had kid-pleasers and adult options alike. We also grabbed lunch from The GoGo’s To Go outdoor stand — a convenient and quick bite between waterpark rounds.
Of course, no trip to Round Rock is complete without a stop at Round Rock Donuts — and yes, they’re as good as everyone says!
🧸 Final Stop: Souvenir
Before heading home, we let the kids each pick out a little souvenir to remember the trip. Plushies for the win!
💡 Final Thoughts
Kalahari Round Rock makes a great weekend or mid-week escape if you’re traveling with kids and want a place where fun, convenience, and comfort come together.
We had such a great time and would love to visit again!
