After a brief hiatus spent capturing new adventures, we're thrilled to share our latest experience: a breathtaking ride on the Sandia Peak Tramway in Albuquerque, New Mexico!
Albuquerque was the perfect stop along our road trip. We had never really explored the city before (just passed through) so we decided to take this opportunity to check out some local sights. After Googling top attractions, the Sandia Peak Tramway quickly caught our eye, and we’re so glad we decided to go!
We purchased our tickets in advance (super easy) and arrived during our scheduled time window. There was plenty of parking, and we lucked out by being first in line to board the tram. Watching the huge turn wheels in motion was fascinating, and the onboard narration during the ride up the mountain shared so many fun and interesting facts—we learned a lot!
When we reached the crest at an impressive 10,378 feet, we were free to explore at our own pace (just as long as we didn’t miss the final ride back down). We were excited to spot some lingering snow patches and enjoyed hiking to several beautiful viewpoints.
After some exploring, we stopped in at the mountaintop restaurant, TEN 3, for a delicious meal with an incredible view before making our way back to the tram for the ride down.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience and highly recommend checking out the Sandia Peak Tramway if you're in the area!
