If your family loves LEGO, themed rides, interactive attractions, and kid-friendly destinations, LEGOLAND Florida Resort is a great family vacation option.

During our visit, we explored the park, enjoyed rides, grabbed burgers, checked out the new LEGO Galaxy area featuring the Galacticoaster, and stayed overnight at the Pirate Island Hotel.

In this guide, we’re sharing what it was really like visiting LEGOLAND Florida, along with rides, hotel details, food prices, and tips to know before you go!

Thank you to LEGOLAND Florida Resort for hosting our family during the LEGO Galaxy / Galacticoaster media event. Our hotel stay and additional trip expenses were paid for by us. All opinions are our own.

What Is LEGOLAND Florida Resort?

LEGOLAND Florida Resort is a 150-acre LEGO-themed destination located in Winter Haven, Florida, about an hour from Orlando and Tampa. The resort has over 50 rides and attractions and includes themed areas, a seasonal water park, restaurants, and themed hotels.

LEGOLAND Florida Resort has plenty of fun attractions for families with younger children, along with more thrilling rides like the new Galacticoaster.

Favorite Rides & Attractions

Some of our favorite rides and attractions from our visit to LEGOLAND Florida Resort include:

  • Miniland USA – Viewing the impressive LEGO city builds and detailed scenes throughout the area

  • LEGO Galaxy: Galacticoaster – An indoor roller coaster with a fun space theme

  • LEGO KINGDOMS: The Dragon – A family-friendly roller coaster through a LEGO castle

  • THE LEGO MOVIE WORLD: Masters of Flight – An immersive flying theater attraction inspired by The LEGO Movie

Exploring LEGO Galaxy & the Galacticoaster

We loved exploring the new LEGO Galaxy area during our trip, including the new indoor coaster: Galacticoaster.

The new Galaxy section has fun space-themed LEGO decorations and builds, along with a soft play area with a slide and a spot where kids can build their own creations using LEGO bricks. There is also a locker area to store your belongings before riding the Galacticoaster.

Our kids loved that Galacticoaster included a themed story and interactive features like designing your own spacecraft before boarding the coaster.

Our youngest (age 6 at the time), who had only ridden his first coaster (The Dragon) earlier in the day, found the ride a bit too scary. Our older kids (ages 9 and 10 at the time), however, loved the experience and rode the Galacticoaster many times.

We also tried the new space-themed chicken sandwich and ice cream, which our family thought were both very tasty.

Food Prices at LEGOLAND Florida

We love having a bit of a food plan when visiting theme parks. Here’s a look at food prices from some of our stops during the trip to help you plan ahead.

During our visit, we paid about $60 for a family lunch at Burger Kitchen that included:

  • BBQ Bacon Smokehouse Burger Combo (Kevin and I shared this, and it was enough food for both of us)

  • 2 Kids Cheeseburger Meals (kids meals came with a small water or juice box)

  • 1 Kids Chicken Tender Meal

We also stopped at the LEGOLAND Coffee Co. during our trip. At the time of our visit, specialty coffee drinks like caramel macchiatos and lattes were listed around $7–8, while pastries and snacks ranged from about $4–15 depending on the item.

Overall, we found there to be a good variety of family-friendly food and snack options throughout the park.

Staying at the Pirate Island Hotel

Pirate themed room at Pirate Island Hotel at LEGOLAND Florida Resort.

We stayed at the Pirate Island Hotel for 2 nights during our trip to LEGOLAND Florida Resort. The hotel is themed with LEGO pirate decorations throughout and is connected to the LEGOLAND Hotel.

There are a couple of restaurants, a play area, LEGO build stations throughout the hotel, and a pool area as well.

It’s awesome waking up ready to go, basically at the park, and after a long day not having to get back in the car to drive to your hotel. We definitely recommend staying at a LEGOLAND hotel. We’ve now stayed at both LEGOLAND Florida and LEGOLAND California (where we stayed at the LEGOLAND Castle Hotel) and had great experiences at both.

For our February 2026 trip, our 2-night Pirate Island themed room stay came to about $609 total including taxes.

One thing to keep in mind is that hotel parking was an additional fee during our stay. At the time of our visit, self-parking was listed at $33 plus tax per vehicle, per night.

Is LEGOLAND Florida Worth It?

We say yes! For LEGO fans and families, we think LEGOLAND Florida Resort offers a really fun and unique experience.

The rides, themed lands, LEGO creations, and hotels all work together to create a full family vacation experience.

If your kids already love LEGO, there’s a good chance they’ll be excited from the moment they walk into the park.

Tips for Visiting LEGOLAND Florida

Here are a few things we’d recommend when visiting:

  • Arrive early to maximize your day

  • Florida weather gets hot, so bring water and sun protection

  • Wear comfortable shoes

  • Consider staying overnight at one of the themed hotels for a more relaxed experience and extended LEGO fun
