Caprock Canyons State Park

Join us this week as we visit and camp at Caprock Canyons State Park & Trailway in the Texas Panhandle!

Where we camped:
Honey Flat- Site 3 (HF003)

Animals we saw:
Bison
Prairie Dogs
Roadrunner

It was amazing to see free-roaming Bison! Until just this year, we didn't know that you could see Bison in Texas. We felt very fortunate to catch a glimpse of the Texas State Bison Herd on our first trip to Caprock Canyon State Park! We enjoyed camping at Caprock Canyon State Park - our site was roomy, had a nice covered picnic table, and the kids enjoyed the playground just a short walk away!

Palo Duro Canyon State Park

We visit for the first time and camp in our rooftop tent at Palo Duro Canyon State Park in the Texas Panhandle! This beautiful State Park is only about 30 minutes away from Downtown Amarillo! We camped at the Fortress Cliff Camp area. We hiked at the Rock Garden Trail. We saw a lot of wildlife: a coyote, lizards, a bunny, deer, ants, flies, and bees! Overall, we had a great trip and will definitely visit again!

Cadillac Ranch | Amarillo Texas!

Join us on our family summer road trip to Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, Texas! We enjoyed a driving break at this iconic location along Route 66! We all had a blast getting a chance to participate in the Cadillac Ranch artwork! This is a great spot to stretch your legs and pose for photos. Be sure to make a stop if you are passing by! :)
